Mincha is Moving! From next Friday, all Mincha services will begin at 6.30 p.m.
While everyone thinks their child is a “good” kid, not everyone actually has a child named “good”. Clearly Jerome and Dana Jacobson had some premonition when they named their daughter “Tova”! Tyler Jacobson is celebrating her Bat Mitzvah this Shabbas and we wish her parents and grandparents, Menashe & Eti Zaroozny and Gerald & Linda Jacobson a huge mazel tov! Tyler is a great kid who has enthusiastically embraced her Batty experience. Saba Menashe is a committed regular to our mincha ma’ariv minyanim and often leads the services, and Jerome is a regular at the Integr8 shiur so I guess Tova has been shlepping her family along on her journey. Very good and Much nachas!
Mazel tov x 2 to Anthnoy Kawitzky and Beverly Kawitzky on the birth of their twin grandchildren. Double joy and double nachas!
Speaking of the weekly shiur, Kevin Kovarsky has been uploading them to soundcloud. Click here to listen to a shiur! You can choose to “follow” so you can get updated as new shiurim are uploaded (usually weekly). Thanks Kevin for spreading Torah and thanks Lance and Rob for hosting each week.
Condolences to Sharron Lyons, Nicki Brivik & Andrew Lyons on the sudden passing of their husband and father, Malcolm Lyons. Our thoughts are with the entire family at this time and we wish them comfort and strength as they absorb his unique and enduring legacy in law and mentchlichkeit.
“Rov, where’s the Shabbos Project secret picnic happening”? Eh, sorry friends, but that’s why it’s a SECRET picnic! The Sea Point community will be gathering on Shabbas day in a secret location to be revealed (only to those who book) just before the event. Booking opens on Monday, and after last year’s sold out street dinner, you better book early!
Shabbat Shalom and happy reading!
