Dear Friend,

Thank G-d for Simchos!

As the country is hunkers down in Level 3, it is a great joy to be able to celebrate happy news within our community and beyond.

Mazel tov to Mandy Rozowsky on celebrating her Bat Mitzvah on Zoom this afternoon!

Mazel tov to her parents David and Lara and to her grandparents, Beverly Kleinman and Joseph and Shlumit Rozowsky. Mandy comes from a family steeped in Shul fun alleh zaiten (from all sides) and her great-grandparents, Gerald and Renee Kleinman of blessed memory were leaders of the Cape Town Jeiwsh community and Marais Road SHul. Much nachas!

  1. On account of the Bat Mitzvah, the Zervice will begin at 4:45PM.

I have begged this family for a simcha and finally they delivered! Mazel tov to Stan Abramson on the engagement of his daughter Simone to Jason Baron of Pretoria. Mazel tov to the overjoyed grandparents Eldred and Eva Polikoff and Max Abramson. We fondly remember Urlene and Davin and know they are celebrating in Shamayim. Much nachas and joy!

The word ‘giddy’ popped into my head when I spoke with Joan Stein who is celebrating the engagement of her son Steven to Danielle Black in London. She is still positively giddy! Mazel tov Joan and thank G-d for such nachas and joy. I’m sure Ken had a hand in this match and is celebrating from his vantage point in shamayim.

Mazel tov to Wolfie and Glickie Bloom who are celebrating TWO simchos! The marriage of their grandson Alon Bloom to Jessica Demaria and the engagement of their granddaughter Romy Bloom to Max Kantor. mazel tov, mazel tov! May Zorach ben Zelda be well and enjoy the simchas!

We don’t know what’s to come but we thank Hashem for sending us some simchos to raise our spirits, even as we need to avoid gatherings and exposure to the virus. I appeal to you to take responsibility for your bubble- not having gatherings at all, maitaining social distancing and wearing masks in public places at all times. With Hashem’s help we will beat this!

Shabbat Shalom and happy reading!
