A big, safe, tent- coming to town!

Dear Friend,

It’s bigger and better, it’s Sinai Indaba VII! Please diarize March 18 for a day of stimulating spiritually uplifting speakers and personalities. Click here to book your spot!

And Indaba VII’s arguably most famous speaker will be spending Shabbas with us! Rabbi YY Rubinstein hails from the Scottish Highlands and is famous for his wit & dramatic life journey. He’ll be our scholar in residence for March 16/17. Huge kudos to the Chief Rabbi for consistently producing the world class Sinai Indaba at our doorstep and a big thank you for our Shabbos guest.

If you’re making cartwheels it’s probably because the circus is coming to town! On February 28, Marais Road Shul will be transformed into a big, safe, circus tent! Purim at the Circus on Wednesday night, February 28. Fun for the whole family!

Mazel tov to Shul Warden and Haftorah Captain Reuben Wagenheim on his 70th birthday! Reuben’s role in the daily minyanim and Haftorah coordination as well as empowering so many in Cape Town to recite the Haftorah through his “Trop Club” has made him a CT fixture. Many happy, healthy years!

Mazels to Brian & Karin Zolty on the birth of their granddaughter, much nachas!

Condolences to Darren Levy on the passing of his father, Leslie Levy. The funeral is today at 1:30pm. We wish you and the family strength and comfort.

Condolences to Rivka Netter on the passing of her brother, in Israel.

Mazel tov to Yehuda Hecht on winning the “Intl Mitzvah Quiz” in South Africa. A student of Cape Town Torah High, Yehuda will be on his way overseas to compete in the finals. Mazel tov to his parents Rabbi Pini and Chani Hecht and good luck!

Shabbat shalom and happy reading!
