Each of these personalities on their own would generate enough excitement to power Medupi for a month- but both of them here on the same Shabbas, that’ll light up Marais Road like a Chanukiah!
This Shabbas we’re excited to host Rabbi David and Sharon Rosen, former spiritual leaders of our congregation. We’re also honoured to be hosting speaking sensation Rabbi Dr. Akiva Tatz!
Rabbi Rosen will deliver tonight’s sermon. At the ‘Foe to Friend’ evening on Monday, the Rabbi (who was made Commander of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth, as well as a papal knighthood from the Order of Gregory the Great) had the packed crowd literally cheering his every word. His eloquence, passion & mastery of the subject was a sight to behold.
Rabbi Tatz is world renowned for the most intriguing, deep, & thought provoking talks. He’ll be addressing the compelling topic “Life & Death questions in Judaism”. Saturday 12:15pm. Don’t miss it!!
But what really switches on the Shul this Shabbas is the excitement of the Bat Mitzvah of Sabrina Brivik! Mazel Tov to Tzvi & Nicky Brivik on their daughters Battie, with a special Mazels to grandparents Malcolm and Sharon Lyons and Hanan and Tzipi Brivik. Much nachas from this vivacious and friendly young lady!
Rabbi Tatz is also hosting the young adults (21-30’s) Shabbas Dinner tonight. Pls email Rabbihecht@maraisroadshul.com if you wish to join.
While most Jewish mothers wish their child was born a Doctor (“the lawyer is three & the doctor is five”), this baby really was born a Doctor! Mazel Tov to my dear friends Josh and Alana Doctor of London on the birth of a son! Huge Mazels to grandparents Milton & Helen Berger & to uncle Jonathan Gershuny and the whole Mishpocho! Much nachas from the junior doctor…
