Swinging in the Sukkah!
Dear Friend,
Itās time! All the davening and introspection of the High Holy Days comes to a joyous expression in Sukkot. The next 9 days are the most colourful, bright and happy days in our calendar: Sukkot, the 4 Kinds, decorations, eating in the Sukkah, Simcha Torah, Hakafot– the list goes on!
Join us in our Shul Sukkah over the festival. There are children services throughout and great food (& drink) for all. Tonight and tomorrow night, services are 6:15pm; mornings are 8:45am and include the Priestly blessing where all the kids stand under a Tallis in Shul!
Donāt forget our annual tribute to our beloved Shammes, Normie of blessed memory whose Yohrtzeit on Thursday Night October 5. CTās new restaurant The Press will be offering meat snacks and an open bar! Service 6:15pm and Snacks in the Sukkah at 7:30pm. Join us for a Lchaim and a chance to share your favourite āNormieā story!
Mazel tov to Jada Berman on her Bat Mitzvah! Jada is that special gem, always happy for everyone elseās joy- how special to now celebrate her simcha! Mazel tov to her parents Lionel Berman and Nicole Berman and grandfather Harry Casper. Much nachas!
Mazel tov to Shul Trustee (and Shul consiglieri) Alan Smiedt on recently celebrating his 70th birthday! May Hashem give you the kayach (strength and vigour) to continue making the Shul such a priority in your and your familyās life. Much nachas!

Remember to make an eruv tavshilin so you could prepare on Friday (yom tov) for Shabbas. Click here for more info.
In order to light holiday and Shabbas candles for the next 3 days, itās necessary to prepare two 24hr candles. One is lit tonight with Yom tov candles, the second is lit tomorrow so you have an existing flame with which to light candles the next day for Shabbas (from a lit flame).
Condolences to Jack Leibowitz on the passing of his brother Gus Leibowitz in Zambia. Condolences to Lulu Levin on the passing of her mother Bessie Baraitser at the grand age of 105!
