A warm welcome to Rabbi Dr. Akiva Tatz who will be spending this Shabbas in our community!
Rabbi Tatz literally packs out venues as one of the Jewish speaking circuit’s most prominent voices. We’re honoured that he’ll be delivering tonight’s drosha & the shiur tomorrow after the brocha.
Mazel Tov to Gia Musikanth on her Bat Mitzvah this Shabbas! Big Mazels to her parents, Shul Warden Evan & Debbie Musikanth and grandmothers, Hannah Shorkend & Sue Musikanth. Bat mitzvah is usually the start of a journey. But with this first simcha in the Musikanth Mishpocho it feels more like a milestone of their journey. Almost 5 years ago Evan (Naftali) & his brother Paul joined me in Israel and this family has been onwards and upwards all this time. Mazel Tov & much nachas!
The Jewish Board of Deputies conference was a wonderful & well organized event held at Herzlia’s magnificent Middle School campus. Mazel Tov to our members who were voted on to the Board! May they have much success in making a kiddush Hashem (sanctifying G-d’s presence) in our city, province & beyond. A big Yasher koach to those who have served our community with such distinction.
You’ve had your Barmy at the kotel in Jerusalem, so what more do you need? An Aliyah in Marais Rd’s morning minyan! Mazel Tov to Josh Feldman, who after celebrating his Bar Mitzvah at the Wall, joined our Shachrit service on Monday to receive an Aliyah in the presence of family and friends.
Mazel to his parents, Steven & Sherise…May you continue to have much nachas in good health!

It’s with dread and sadness that I wish condolences to Philip & Marion Marcus on the tragic passing of their younger son Craig, last night. It isn’t yet the time for me to reflect on this giant of a person but just to say how bravely he and his family fought his illness- and with super human dignity. May HaShem give the whole family strength and comfort.
Condolences to Bryna Badash on the loss of her father, Louis Freedman. May Hashem grant them comfort in this time.
Shabbat shalom & happy reading!
